In recent times, India has witnessed an alarming rise in exploitative practices by certain Chinese loan apps. Promising easy loans, these apps often impose exorbitant interest rates and resort to harassment when borrowers struggle to repay. Tragically, the harassment has driven many individuals to take extreme steps, including ending their lives.
To address this pressing issue, the Government of India introduced the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana (PM SVANidhi). Unlike predatory loan apps, the PM SVANidhi scheme ensures dignity and ease of access without trapping borrowers in debt cycles.
We will introduce a powerful video in which our expert highlights how PM SVANidhi is providing a safe and dignified alternative to exploitative loan apps. Discover how this scheme is helping to protect vulnerable individuals and ensure their financial well-being without the burden of crushing debt.
A lot of the Chinese apps in India are flourishing in the name of providing loans to Indians. First, their interest rates are exponentially high, and second, they harass people when they cannot pay such high interest rates. Unfortunately, a lot of people have given up their lives after being fed up with this harassment. You must have heard about these incidents recently.
To tackle such issues, the government of India has launched the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana. The most important aspect of this scheme is that you do not have to pay any interest on the loan. In this scheme, you do not need to give your PAN card, or even require any civil score. In fact, it doesn’t even ask for a guarantor!
So how can you apply for this loan? Which website to visit and what process to follow?
So, eligible people who possess a Certificate of Vending (CoV) or Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from the local authority, can apply online through the official PM SVANidhi portal (www.pmsvanidhi.mohua.gov.in). Applicants must register using their Aadhaar-linked mobile number, fill out the application form with personal, bank, and vending details, select a lending institution, and upload required documents like CoV/LoR and Aadhaar details.
Loans are collateral-free, offering an initial amount of up to ₹10,000, with higher limits of ₹20,000 and ₹50,000 for timely repayments in subsequent cycles. An interest subsidy of 7% is provided on prompt repayment. Offline applications can also be made through banks or Common Service Centres (CSCs).
Filling out the application form for the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme is a straightforward process. To begin, visit the official PM SVANidhi portal (www.pmsvanidhi.mohua.gov.in) and register using your mobile number linked with your Aadhaar card. After registration, log in to access the application form. Provide your personal details, including your name, Aadhaar number, and contact information. Enter your bank account details, such as the account number, IFSC code, and bank name, ensuring they are accurate to facilitate disbursal.
Next, fill in your vending information, including the type of vending you engage in, the area or market of operation, and details of your Certificate of Vending (CoV) or Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from the local authority. Select your preferred lending institution from the list provided, which may include banks, microfinance institutions (MFIs), or NBFCs.
Upload the required documents, including proof of identity (Aadhaar), proof of vending (CoV or LoR), and bank passbook details. Review the form thoroughly to avoid errors before submitting it. Upon submission, you will receive an application reference number, which can be used to track your application status on the portal. If you need assistance, you can visit a nearby Common Service Centre (CSC) or contact the PM SVANidhi helpline at 14420 for guidance.
Within 7 working days of your application, you will receive a call from your chosen branch which you can visit to get your loan approved. If your documents pass the verification process, your bank account will be credited with your desired loan amount.
So you can follow this process to get your desired amount without any interest rates.
