To pehle ek example dekhte hai:  Apne mutual funds me 10000  paisa lagaya hai or har saal apko 10% return milta hai to matlab 1000rs apka interest hogya, fir agle saal apko 11000 par return milega matlab 1100rs to harr saal apka interest add hota jayega. To haar saal apko 10% extra return milta hai .Yeh interest compound hota hai, matlab har saal previous year ka interest bhi principal ka part ban jata hai.

Agar yahi paisa apne simple interest me invest kia hota to apko harr saaal 10000 pe 10 % rate ke hisab se 1000 rupay hi milta interest pe koi interest ni milega. Ise bolte hai simple interest  jo interest milegawoh hamesha initial principal amount pe hi calculate hoga. Isme interest ka calculation har saal same hota hai, chahe aapka time period kitna bhi ho.
