If you need to get a birth certificate, marriage certificate, caste certificate, income certificate, or death certificate, or if you want to apply for services like Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter card, passport, visa, or pension, then you do not need to go to different offices anymore or wait at government offices.
This is because the government has launched the e-Parmaan portal, where you can access over 300 government schemes and services sitting right at home.
We will learn how this portal works and how you can use it in this series.
So if you want to access all the schemes and services provided by the e-Parmaan portal, then you will have to log in to the portal using a user ID and password.
I will tell you how you can register for the e-Parmaan portal, but first, let me tell you about the documents that you will need.
To register on the e-Parmaan Portal, visit the official website and select the "Register" option. You can sign up using your Aadhaar number, mobile number, or email ID.
After providing your details, you will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number or email for verification. Once confirmed, set up a secure password to finalise the registration process.
Now, I will tell you how to use government schemes and apply for government services using the e-Parmaan portal.
Earlier, people had to go to different websites for different government schemes and services and had to often go to different offices, which caused a lot of confusion and often times, people who needed these things the most, didn’t get the benefits of it.
To combat this, the government has launched the e-Parmaan portal.
To access government schemes and apply for services using the e-Parmaan Portal, log in with your registered credentials and authenticate using OTP-based verification.
Once logged in, browse the list of available government schemes and services, such as applying for Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID, passports, income certificates, pensions, subsidies, and welfare benefits.
Select the required service, fill in the application form, and upload the necessary documents (Aadhaar card, PAN card, income proof, address proof, etc.) in the prescribed format.
We will now look at how you can actually make use of these schemes and services.
For example, if you want to apply for a Ration Card.
To apply for a ration card using the e-Pramaan Portal, log in with your registered credentials and authenticate via OTP. Navigate to the ration card application section and select your state, as ration card services are state-specific.
Fill in the required details, including family member information, Aadhaar numbers, income details, and residential address.
Upload necessary documents, such as an Aadhaar card, income certificate, proof of residence, and passport-sized photographs in the prescribed format. After submitting your application, monitor its status via the portal. Upon approval, you can either download your ration card or collect it in person.
